TASK 3: Analyze twist in a yarn

1 Take a fabric sample. 6 If it untwists counter clockwise it is Z-twist. (Fig 3)
2 Pull out a single yarn from the fabric.as shown in Fig 3

3 Roll the yarn between your fingers. (Fig 2) 7 Follow the process with other samples.
8 Note all the observation in the below mentioned

TASK 4: Identify crimp in a fabric sample

1 Take a sample of fabric 3 Measure the length of the yarn as it appears in the
fabric without stretching it.
2 Carefully pull out a single yarn from the fabric (either
warp or weft). As shown in Fig 1 Fig 2

4 Gently straighten the yarn without overstretching it.
Ensure it is straight but not pulled too tight.
